Comparison

QIDI Plus5 vs Creality K2 Plus: 320 mm vs 350 mm Heated-Chamber Printers

Compare QIDI Plus5 and Creality K2 Plus by build volume, chamber temperature, hotend limits, speed, multi-color systems, filtration, dimensions and engineering-material workflow.

Quick decision: choose from the hard constraints first. Creality K2 Plus gives you the larger 350 mm cube and a mature CFS path; QIDI Plus5 is physically shorter, publishes a hotter 65°C chamber and 370°C hotend, and still provides a large 320 × 320 × 300 mm build area.

Build volume is the first binary filter

K2 Plus has 30 mm more width and depth and 50 mm more Z travel. If a real part needs that space, the comparison can end there. If your largest parts fit inside 320 × 320 × 300 mm, the extra K2 volume becomes optional rather than automatically valuable.

QIDI publishes the higher chamber and nozzle ceilings

Plus5 lists a 65°C actively heated chamber and 370°C hotend. K2 Plus lists 60°C and 350°C respectively. Those ceilings do not prove better print quality; they matter when the filament you actually use requires the added thermal margin.

Creality has the higher published acceleration ceiling

K2 Plus lists 30,000 mm/s² versus QIDI's 20,000 mm/s², while both list 600 mm/s maximum speed. Acceleration and toolhead speed are not equivalent to finished-part throughput. Long straight moves, volumetric flow, cooling and part geometry determine how much of either machine's motion envelope is usable.

The multi-color ecosystems are different purchases

Creality's CFS ecosystem supports up to four CFS units for as many as 16 colors. QIDI Plus5 is compatible with QIDI BOX, and QIDI sells model-specific BOX/expansion hardware. Compare spool restrictions, drying workflow, purge waste, added desk space and exact bundle contents instead of treating “multi-color” as one identical feature.

Filtration documentation differs

QIDI explicitly lists a three-stage stack: G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA and coconut-shell activated carbon. Creality lists an air purifier on K2 Plus. That difference is about published hardware documentation, not a claim that either printer makes emissions harmless. Ventilation strategy should still match the material and room.

Decision rule

  • QIDI Plus5: 320 mm class is enough, hotter published chamber/nozzle limits matter, or you prefer the shorter chassis.
  • Creality K2 Plus: you need the full 350 mm cube, want the CFS ecosystem, or the larger build envelope prevents part splitting.
  • Neither by headline speed: choose from part size, materials, room space and multi-material workflow before 600 mm/s marketing.
