Methodology

Research Methodology

How 3DPrinterVerdicts verifies specifications, comparisons and cost assumptions.

Our first source for exact-model specifications is the manufacturer product page, manual or technical specification sheet. We record the source and the date it was checked. When a specification differs across regional pages or manuals, we avoid silently choosing the more favorable number.

What we compare

  • Build volume and physical footprint
  • Nozzle, bed and chamber temperature limits
  • Supported materials and abrasive-filament hardware
  • Enclosure and filtration architecture
  • Multi-material hardware and practical compatibility
  • Slicer support, connectivity and workflow constraints
  • Consumable, electricity and failure-cost assumptions

Performance claims

Maximum speed and acceleration are manufacturer specifications, not guarantees of equal print quality at those settings. We distinguish headline motion limits from practical workflow recommendations where the manufacturer provides both.

No fabricated testing

Source-backed research is not the same as hands-on testing. Pages clearly avoid claiming bench tests, print-quality observations or long-term reliability experience that did not occur.
