Start from the printer model and revision

Ask for a complete manufacturer or OEM part number where possible. Photos, similar dimensions and a generic compatibility claim are insufficient for electrically sensitive parts. Compare voltage, connector/pinout and firmware requirements against original documentation.

Calculate the landed cost

Compare purchase price, shipping, duties, expected delivery time and any return-shipping cost against the manufacturer's own store. A lower sticker price can disappear when returning an incompatible part across borders.

Verify seller protections before payment

Check the actual listing, seller identity, warranty, return policy and supported destination country at checkout. If an item does not identify the exact supported printers and variants, prefer an official replacement or request compatibility confirmation before purchase.
