Centauri Carbon is built around abrasive-material readiness
ELEGOO lists a 320 °C brass-hardened-steel nozzle and specifically positions the printer for carbon-fiber-reinforced filament. That is more informative than the word “Carbon” in the model name: abrasive materials need wear-resistant contact surfaces and appropriate thermal capability.
Build volume and motion system
The build volume is 256 × 256 × 256 mm. ELEGOO lists CoreXY motion, 500 mm/s velocity, 20,000 mm/s² acceleration and 32 mm³/s flow. Flow is critical because the hotend must melt material fast enough for high linear speed to be useful.
Enclosure
The printer is fully enclosed, which helps with drafts and heat retention for materials sensitive to warping. An enclosure is not the same as an actively heated chamber; buyers should not infer a controlled chamber temperature unless the manufacturer specifies one.
Where it fits
On paper, the Centauri Carbon targets buyers who want a 256 mm-class enclosed CoreXY with hardened nozzle hardware and explicit carbon-fiber support without moving to a larger 350 mm machine.
